Who are your favorites bad, tough, kick-ass heroines ,what book are they from, and why you like them !
Or maybe you like the sensitive ,whiny, weak girls who need to be rescued.

;)     All opinions are acceptable   ;)

Hey Mei

Why did you not read it?? Are you having trouble looking for the last 2?

Book 6 - Cast in Chaos

Book 7 - Cast in Ruin

It's hard not to like Phèdre.  How can I blame her for her nature??

Yet, I find it too extreme and invites in me, a feeling of revulsion *shudders*.  Being turned on by extreme violence, humiliation, forced submission is something I cannot stomach. But all said and done, on the overall, I do like the book ;)

Thank you! I have those books, but with my TBR pile is 1000 books high, you know... they got lost in the middle...  8)

Yes, I understand... I also don't like the violence, etc... but I liked her character a lot. Besides, the books were beatufully written, with very nice language and descriptions. I like also the atmsphere and the world-building. The first book grabbed my attention since the first line: "Lest anyone should suppose that I am a cuckoo's child, got on the wrong side of the blanket by lusty peasant stock and sold into indenture in a shortfallen season, I may say that I am House-born and reared in the Night Court proper, for all the good it did me." Wow!!! I just have to know why!  ;)

Well, I think Kelley Armstrong has brought us alot of stong kick a$$ women, Elaina, Paige and most definately Eve are my faves from Women of The Otherworld Series. Chloe From her Darkest Powers Series is so sweet yet strong with a heart og gold and a spine of pure steel.
I agree Anita Blake rocks. And Cat Crawfield.
Mercy Thompson is another big fave of mine. And Anna from Alpha and Omega series.
Victoria from the Gardella Vampire Chronicles is very strong given the time its set in.
There are a ton more I could name.
I agree the "Bella" type grates. grrr (and on a side note, im soooo annoyed with her, my Mum and Nan are Named Isabella, and when I wanted to call my Daughter Isabella i get "oooh someone's a die hard Twilight fan", hmmmm nearly commited a few GBH crimes there)

I like the heroine of Being Jamie Baker and the series of Jaz Parks. They are reaslly Bad-ass and though sometimes have bad decisions or really stupid thing to say they are still independent and have their own piece of mind to share.  ;D

Im gonna agree with Katniss. Loved her in in the Hunger Games, and Im working my way through the other two books. If anyone hasn't read the Chemical Garden trilogy, then Rhine is also a bit badass :), but I'm still going for Claire from the Morganville Vampire series. She's a bit of a whiner, but she does what needs to be done.
