Who are your favorites bad,tough, kick-ass heroines ,what book are they from,and why you like them !
Or maybe you like the sensitive ,whiny,weak girls who need to be rescued.

All opinions are acceptable

Gotta go with Katniss from Hunger Games series. Not only is she bad a$$ enough to survive not one, but 2, Hunger Games she is also soft hearted enough to take her sisters spot in the games.

I also like Penryn from Angelfall, in a way she's a lot like Katniss (but there's only one love interest instead of two)

I can't talk about Katniss nor Dru cuz I haven't read Hunger Games nor Strange Angels yet. But I will, next month

I love Rose cuz she is tough and knows how to fight.I love Katniss cuz she fights smart.

Whoa you've mentioned all the tough girls that came to my mind first as well!
Be it Rose, Dru, Katniss, Penryn, Katsa, Suze, or so many others, I think they've all got a similar trait, and no, I don't mean fighting skills, though, there's that. What I love about these characters is that they're so brave, even afraid, they fight on, stand back up when they fall, and just keep on fighting! That's why I love them.
I can't say they're good or bad, perhaps a bit of both. Some are tougher than others, but they all kick ass, and I prefer to read about such characters instead of the er, whiny, girly variety. :S

Me too... I am so not into this generations "Bella" type girls. I like a character that uses her brains and isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes enough and (of course) can kick butt

I don't want to read about any swooning ditzy whiny girls who can't make up their minds on who to date or who thinks everyone is in love with them or thinks "their love interest" is more important than air.

You're right... as much as I loved Thoughtless and Effortless I spent about 80% of the time reading just wanting to smack her! She was way too co-dependent and indecisive.

Well,i felt the same.Now i'm reading about Eve in Eden and she is exactly the opposite,strong, independent, fighter and kick everyone's bum.

Well I am going to be a bit odd one here. I don't quite like too bad ass girls or too "Bella" girls either. I like someone who is a little bit of both. Sweet but a little bit of sassy and attitude thrown in. Like Megan from Iron Fey? She isn't exactly badass, but she isn't too -- IDK...noodly?

sorry that's the only word that popped to describe Bella.

I also liked Tris (Beatrice from Divergent)- she's kind of in the middle too, not too "kick ass" but not too "noodly" (lol... i liked your word LIB)
