When an author complains or reports a specific book, or a series of books, the threads  are removed. When this happens it is only the thread that is deleted. All the links that have been left behind by other members, no matter who put them up, that are laying around the site are what we call "dead links". The links stay there until the member who put them up (or a Moderator) deletes each individual link. Everyone can still "click" on the links but they only take you to an error page. The only thing you can do is use the "report to moderator" button on any "dead" link that you find. Reporting dead links will allow us Moderators to become aware of it and delete it to save other members from becoming frustrated. I hope this helped in some way and I apologize for any inconvenience/frustration at the dead links and removal of threads.

Please remove the links from your post to keep other members frustrations to a minimum...and if you come across any more dead links please hit the 'report to moderator' button below the post and leave a comment. Thanks.
